The Born Smart Newborn diaper is an organic AIO diaper that fits most babies 6-16lbs. The interior of the diaper boasts 3 layers of organic cotton sewn in to the diaper and an additional 4 layer snap-in insert (included). The unique design allows for easy cleaning and quick drying, with enough absorbency to grow with your newborn. This diaper also has one rise setting, an umbilical notch, and a hidden pocket under the lining to add additional absorbency if needed.

Prepping Your Diapers
  • Because we use 100% Certified Organic Cotton Fabric it will take 6-8 washes before your diapers are fully absorbent. We do not use chemicals to strip the natural oils from our fabric so it will take a few extra washes before they are ready to use, but it will be so worth it! How hard your water is, the type of detergent you use, and what type of washing machine you have will all factor in to exactly how many washes it takes to fully prep your diapers. We recommend testing a dry diaper before you use the first time by pouring a small amount of water on your diaper. If it absorbs instantly, they are ready to use! If it takes even a few seconds to absorb, wash a couple more times and try again.

organic cotton yes.
First it's American made the pattern Emerson for my newborn is adorable, I have the blue and yellow also , these go up to 16 pounds unlike my Lil joey ' s and grovia at 12 lbs.more time in these means more bang for the only con having to prep them up to 8 times to reach full absorbency, that's a lot of water , yes you can throw them in with other laundry but I just don't have that kind of mess.i only prepped 4 times and let my baby wear it and since I do diaper laundry every 2 days that's when the additional prepping happens so it will take me a week or so to get to full absorbency , after that they should not leak.
